In this exhibition, Sergio Sotomayor presents us with a series of works on paper and looped audiovisual pieces. Synthetic images that evoke a worldview concerning the concept of dark energy and its reminiscences with the dark sea of consciousness postulated by ancient Mexican shamans.

 

From this particular prism, the intention of capturing photons in latitudes of non-ordinary reality, involves a context where it is difficult to locate space-time coordinates. And here the artist embarks to place it, if not absolutely, at least relative to the place where these scenarios took place. A mind, his own, questions itself as the sole owner of what is processed, considering how many of the other elements involved could be as much or more participants in such an event.
