My artistic production revolves around concepts such as memory, the representation of space and certain power dynamics through architecture.

 

Using drawing as the main tool, I articulate other realities that borrow the language and graphic systems of architecture. These appear perverted with the intention of questioning some of the usual spaces of representation of the contemporary individual.

 

In my work processes, non-places and counter-spaces are intermingled, borrowing images from utopian and surveillance architectures (not built) that appear broken and juxtaposed. Starting from the fragmentary, the deconstruction or the transparency, new spaces and impossible architectures happen as spaces of doubt, of representation (both material and imaginary) in which the grammar of power appears from the trace of memory.

 

Achieving this other representation from the union of different layers of meaning (which often cancel each other out) suggests cracks that disrupt our root experience and ultimately generate new paradoxes.
